Want to work hands-on with CNC turning and milling machines and take responsibility for quality throughout the production process?

At THUN, you will work directly in production, set up and operate CNC machines, monitor existing programs, and support machining processes from setup through quality inspection.

What you will learn

Your responsibilities include:

• Operate, set up, and configure CNC turning and milling machines (Spinner, Nakamura, DMU 50, Haas VF 2)
• Actively work in ongoing production
• Work with Siemens and Fanuc controls
• Run in and monitor existing programs
• Assist with creating and modifying CNC programs
• Support 5-axis machining operations (DMU 50)
• Make tool and dimensional corrections during production runs
• Perform quality inspections of manufactured parts
• Assist with minor troubleshooting and machine maintenance

What you bring

You should bring:

• Completed vocational training as a CNC machinist specializing in milling technology, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in CNC machining, ideally in milling
• Experience in 5-axis machining is a plus (DMU 50 or comparable)
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming with Siemens controls, ideally also Fanuc
• Experience with CAM systems such as SolidCAM is a plus
• Confidence working with technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Experience selecting tools and workholding equipment
• A structured, independent, and reliable approach to work
• Strong quality awareness and technical understanding
• Teamwork skills, commitment, and a strong sense of responsibility
• A valid driver’s license and access to a car
