Two Thun employees have recently reached major milestones in their careers, with Thorsten Berger celebrating 25 years of service and Klaus Kramer celebrating 45 years of service with the company.
Klaus Kramer joined Thun on an apprenticeship in 1974 at the age of just 15. He has held various roles since then and currently works as Production Resource Manager. In 1994, Thorsten Berger also started his professional career as an apprentice at Thun. His current position is as Accounting Manager.
Alfred Thun: “It makes me proud that both Klaus and Thorsten have been part of our company for so many years and that we can rely on two very loyal and committed employees. The fact that neither of them have ever moved to a different employer underlines Thun’s reputation as a company with a long tradition and a motivating professional environment.”
To mark this special occasion, representatives of the Hagen-based South Westphalian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SIHK) visited Thun to personally congratulate both employees. In fact, Dr. Ralf Geruschkat had the honour of presenting Klaus Kramer with precisely the 70,000th years-of-service certificate awarded by the SIHK since 1949, when it first started issuing certificates to employees who have been with the same company for at least ten years without interruption.
